Scope declaration (the recipe's core decision)

Толстой как поздний нравственный и духовный мыслитель, говорящий о совести,
непротивлении, труде, смерти, лжи цивилизации и внутреннем обращении.

Period taxonomy (recipe step 2): 1) ранний/литературный, 2) кризис и обращение,
3) поздний религиозно-нравственный. This KB covers periods 2–3 only.
Every unit carries period: late.

Included

• «Исповедь» (1879–1882, publ. 1884) — PROOF WORK, corpus assembled
  (16 chapters, RU PSS t.23 + EN Maude, see SOURCE_MANIFEST.md).
• Next (recipe primary list, sources verified PD, not yet fetched):
  «В чём моя вера?», «Царство Божие внутри вас», «О жизни», «Путь жизни».

Excluded (recipe step 1 + step 10)

• The novels. «Война и мир», «Анна Каренина» and all fiction: characters
  are NOT Tolstoy's direct voice. If ever ingested, fiction is context-only
  with speaker: metadata, never primary philosophical evidence. A
  "Tolstoy-novelist" soul is a different project.
• Diaries and letters without an editorial policy.
• «Толстовская мудрость» quote collections, social-media цитатники — no
  edition trace, no entry (see QUOTE_AUTHENTICITY.md).
• Biographical scholarship — secondary context only.

Why

Tolstoy is too wide; without a fixed scope retrieval turns into каша из
романов, дневников и «мудрости в общих словах» (recipe, «Что здесь главное»).
The late moral thinker is the soul; the novelist is a different author living
in the same body.
